Prof. Lixin’s research group has been able to achieve attogram Mass Transport Using a Metal-Filled CNT for 3D Additive Nanomanufacturing. His research focuses on high resolution nanorobotic manipulation inside transmission electron microscopes (TEMs), nanorobotic systems on a tip, atomic scale mass transport, intelligent end-effectors for nanorobotic manipulation, and NEMS based on shell engineered carbon nanotubes (CNTs), helical nanobelts, and peapod nanowires. Targeted application fields include nanomaterial science, bionanotechnology, and nanoelectronics.
