Sylmarie Davila Montero, a PhD student, recently was awarded an MSU Cloud Computing Fellowship through a competitive application process. Montero is currently supervised by Dr. Andrew Mason, Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering. Congratulations!
The Cloud Computing Fellowship provides fellows with real-world experience in cloud computing and a good understanding of its capabilities and limitations through two phases. The first phase includes presentations, workshops, and hands-on exploration of cloud computing concepts and platforms. During the second phase of the fellowship, fellows will work with Ezra Brooks from IT Services and Dr. Mahmoud Parvizi from the Institute for Cyber-Enable Research (ICER) to design a cloud-based application that can be applied to a specific research problem of their choosing.
