Elias Garratt, an Assistant Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering, received the U.S. Air Force Research Lab Summer Faculty Fellowship. Congratulations!
The U.S. Air Force Research Lab Summer Faculty Fellowship Program offers hands-on exposure to Air Force research challenges through 8- to 12-week research residencies at participating Air Force research facilities for full-time science, mathematics, and engineering faculty at U.S. colleges and universities.
During the summer program, Garratt will be working with researchers in the Materials and Manufacturing Directorate on diamond color centers with the ultimate application of Quantum Information Science devices. This particularly research is several steps removed from actual device research though, and focuses primarily on color center creation.
