MySwimPro, the company co-founded by Spartan Engineer Michael Allon, has been recognized by Apple for having the “Best App of the Year.” MySwimPro was specifically designed for the Apple watch. Ke “CoCo” Zhang-Miske (BS Elec Egr ’07) was among 16 exceptional Spartans honored last week during the Michigan State University Alumni Grand Awards Gala. The Detroit Zoo is again preparing for its wildly popular holiday light show, thanks to the creative design of electrical engineer Steve Greening (’96, ‘98). Eric Tarkleson (BS '09, MS '13, ELEC EGR) works among the residents of Tanzania in East Africa, where people have cell phones but little electricity to power them. He is the general manager/chief engineer for Enda Solar, which specializes in energy solutions for emerging markets. Eric lives 45 miles from Mount Kilimanjaro in a colonial-era guesthouse on a compound, which runs on solar power. Read more: http://bit.ly/2ddP4O9
